VMA MLCP Class of 2024 Sets Sail

NORFOLK, VA - The Virginia Maritime Association Maritime Leadership Certificate Program (MLCP) Class of 2024 set sail aboard the M/V Rosemary McAllister. The first program day commenced with a comprehensive safety briefing, ensuring that everyone was prepared for the experience ahead. They explored the deck, bridge, engine control room, and engine room before the M/V Rosemary McAllister sailed for a harbor tour of the Elizabeth River. The tour culminated in a demonstration of the tugs' fire-fighting cannons, providing a memorable "Water Salute." Capt. Larry Sullivan, Chief Ricardo Navedo, and Port Captain Bruno shared their tug expertise and made it a fun morning on the water.
