How does MLCP compare to the Young Maritime Professionals?

The Maritime Leadership Certificate Program was designed while keeping the Young Maritime Professionals program in mind, providing both groups with exposure to various segments of the maritime supply chain industries. However, the Young Maritime Professionals program focuses on providing a basic level of industry exposure to those under 40, whereas the MLCP is without any age restrictions, drawing in members seeking a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the industry as well as honing skills required for advancing leadership.

Meet the Graduates

Being a leader among professionals within the maritime supply chain industries requires insight that goes beyond your desk, your company, and even your industry sector. These MLCP graduates take away unforgettable memories, a deeper understanding of the maritime and supply chain industries, new leadership skills, and a lasting network of colleagues and friends.

VMA's one-year MLCP program provides a broader understanding of the myriad aspects of the maritime and logistics industry in our state and its global impact and further expands the leadership capabilities of present day and emerging leaders in the industry.

Meet the Class of 2023!

“To be able to gain “insider” knowledge about all the industries that make up the VMA through the industry segments was super valuable; this certainly made myself more valuable in my industry.”
