Swing & Sip: Maritime Women Take the Green

Sunshine, lots of laughs, and 24 incredible women from across Virginia’s maritime industry made for an unforgettable afternoon at VMA’s Swing & Sip: Maritime Women’s Golf Event.

Hosted at Cedar Point Country Club, the day was all about building skills, making connections, and having fun. Let’s be honest, not every swing was perfect, and that was part of the fun.

The afternoon kicked off with a warm welcome and a quick rundown before everyone jumped into a golf clinic led by seasoned pros. Whether it was a first-ever swing or a chance to fine-tune technique, there was plenty of encouragement, a few “aha” moments, and more than a few laughs along the way.

After time on the course, the group gathered for a relaxed social with refreshments, where conversations really got going. New connections were made, familiar faces caught up, and the energy reflected what this event is all about: supportive, engaging, and genuinely fun.
